'Moments With Trees'

Foreword By: Antonio Aleo

There are some specific qualities of trees that are truly amazing for me. First of all there is their connectedness, their ability to communicate and to support each other. Beyond that I admire their steadfastness even under rough conditions, as well as their longing to put forth roots and shoots whenever possible.

Trees are capable to represent personalities to me. This is what I want to show in my photographs.

The images in this collection are mainly taken in the surrounding areas of my home town Vienna in Austria, like the Vienna Woods and the riparian forests along the Danube east of Vienna. Some scenes are also from Forest Quarter in Lower Austria and from the northern part of Styria. There is also one image from Cornwall and another one from Scotland included.

Designing this book I decided to go without captions in favour of pure visual language.
