Impressions Of The Norfolk Coast

By: David Townshend

Impressions Of The Norfolk Coast By David Townshend

The Norfolk coast is renowned for its sweeping vistas, small harbours and natural habitats. Through my work I aim to present this famous coastline in different and exciting ways.

My images interpret the light and colours, shapes and patterns of the coastal landscapes, be they grand views or intimate details, iconic subjects or mundane objects. In some of my work I combine elements present in that location at that time on that day to create a ‘sense of place’, but elsewhere I explore pure abstraction.

Seaweed

By: Stephanie Lightbown

Seaweed By Stephanie Lightbown

noun

• Any of numerous multicellular marine algae that grows on the seashore, salt marshes, brackish water or submerged in the ocean.

• large algae growing in the sea or on rocks below the high-water mark.

The linear and singular quality of seaweed has become more prevalent in my photography in recent years.

There are several thousand different species worldwide along coastlines in many locations and countries.  Always  drawn to the endless varieties and the layered patterns which are revealed when working in black and white.

Warmth Of The Soul

INDIA

Warmth of the Soul

Aatma Kee Garmee

By Howard Rankin

Foreword By Valda Bailey

I have been privileged to visit India twice: firstly in 2018 with my family, and in 2020 with a group of photographer friends on a trip lead by Valda Bailey and Denis Hocking.

I fell totally in love with the country; the history and culture, the sights, sounds and colours, but most of all, the wonderful people. I encountered the most amazing generosity, hospitality and kindness everywhere.

The Holi Festival in 2020 saw us warmly welcomed with singing, dancing and copious smothering of coloured paints, invited into local peoples houses for drinks and food- an incredible day.

This hospitality is summed up in the Sanskrit expression Atithi Devo Bhava (Guest Is God)

‘Landscapes Without Figures’

The American South West

By: Ian R. Mitchell

‘Landscapes Without Figures’ The American South West By Ian R. Mitchell

Ian charts his journeys through the states of the American South-West, an area of staggering beauty, from its spectacular empty deserts to the deep eroded canyons and high mountain ranges. The book also explores the historical landscapes left by farmers, miners and others in a beautiful but unforgiving terrain littered with the remains of broken dreams.

We worked together to produce a stunning Photozine which you can purchase directly from Ian here:
